Corners of our space

The interior design of Souvenir, by friend & architect @zxcstudio, was heavily influenced by clean lines, contrasting textures. Purposed to provide an intimate space amongst the bustling streets of Berawa. Upon a closer look you'll find gems - like this piece by @rickyleegordon nestled within our walls.

A nod to longer nights ahead

A couple of components from our latest experiments, we’re always looking to refine the next chapter on our menu. This week we’ve been working on a brown butter fat washed Arak, which pairs incredibly well with our homemade apple and palm sugar shrub cider preserve.

A nod to longer nights ahead, this winter warming combination is a warm hug but bright enough to keep you wanting more.

Shit We Dig... Part I

Wine on tap with takeaway refills.

Probably one of the few emails we subscribe to and actually
read is from PNV merchants & this week we discovered they
have wine on tap (like really good, rotating bottles of red &
white/orange).

Not only is this great for the environment, but you can save a
little cash by bringing your own 750ml bottle to fill.

If only we lived closer.
For those in Sydney check them out for all your wine needs.

A brief introduction into the sound of the bar

“It was important that warmth could be felt through the speakers at all hours, whether it’s slower jazz or upbeat house, because of how snug the space is.”

Bring a little of that warmth into your space & check out - Volume One Playlist by our friend Nindy Noto at Sonic Selections. @sonicselections

"Wine is not natural"

We're definitely guilty of using the term Natural Wine to explain out low intervention drops at the bar — but perhaps there's a better explanation. We thoroughly enjoyed reading this letter in our inbox by Emiko Davies "Wine is not natural" - Why "natural wine" is problematic, a chat with sommelier Marco Lami.

Souvenir Sounds - Vol 1

Embark on a journey of sounds, curated by our friend Nindy Noto at Sonic Selections. @sonicselections. Everyday at Souvenir you’ll hear something different. From jazz to soul, house, disco, and everything in between - our tunes were carefully weaved for easy enjoyment. Much like our approach to the space.

Nindy on mood and tone:
“Every day of the week is slightly different but the overall feel is warm and fun. It was important that warmth could be felt through the speakers at all hours, whether it’s slower jazz or upbeat house, because of how snug the space is.”
